Dear Audy,
I am bumbling along in my usual fashion, just trying to deal, trying to cope. When there is a lot of negative stuff going on, it is important to nurture the mental rewards that are received when we choose to focus on the positives. The old saying would have us remember to smell the roses. I havenโt been sniffing, but I have been admiring my cactus flowers, lately.
Please excuse my shaky hands…they do that.
Lots of Feldenkrais, lots of rest and lots of focus is the way that I am getting through my days. Anti-inflammatory pills are helping my hip enormously and my neck and shoulders are finally settling down. Yay! Things are turning around, Audy. My biggest problem right now is very sore hands. In their defence, I am forcing them to do a lot more typing than usual, working on some stories and articles and organising life in general.
It is most definitely time to give them some rest!
Love & Moving Forward Again,
Caf
P.S. New, organised blog layout! I felt like a change & I’m digging the multiple RSS feeds for different post categories up the top there. Yay!
Your flowers are gorgeous! hehehe Billy Ray! You made me lol!
Good to hear things are looking up gorgeous lady!
Thanks so much! It is very nice to have nice days again!! hehe, I named him Billy Ray before I ever saw his fancy flowers, possibly the best named cactus ever ๐ xx
Nice new layout! And I am happy you’ve got a positive outlook
thank you!! It is definitely nice to look up again, instead of just down and around ;D
omg omg omg!
They are sooooo pretty!!!! And such a timely post as I have been quietly proud of my own cacti / succulent flowers and meaning to mention it to you! I have a 2-year old succulent that has been through some very tough times…. water rot, puppy shredding it into a million pieces…. but it has risen like a phoenix every time and now, completely unexpectedly, it’s shot out this little arm with these gorgeous orange flowers! I shall have to send you a pic!
Yay!! GO LITTLE SUCCULENT!! I love the orange flowers they grow, they are my favourite, so bright!! I would love to see pics, we shall have to have a puppy visit again soon (just, don’t tell Lucy ;P) xx
Hayley,
I love your new blog layout! It looks very pretty. Your cacti/cactuses (the dictionary includes both… I checked!) look amazing! Thank you for sharing them with us and I was cracking up at your Billy Ray joke. ๐
Jeanne
Thank you! I love that the dictionary includes both, the English language probably just go sick of people saying the wrong thing ;P
Those cacti are so pretty … my aunt used to have little cacti in pots in her kitchen, but to me they were just little spiky things and I never saw them flower, let alone like that. Maybe it’s the climate. They’re beautiful anyway.
Mine started just little, they are probably about 5 years old and grow very slowly. I think the boy using fertiliser helps and we try to repot them regularly so they get new space and new dirt… just quietly, Reepicheep is actually Reepicheep the 3rd (or perhaps even the 4th), no Reepicheep’s before him ever made it to flowering stage! I hope he grows arms one day…
Good to see you cheerful honey! Hope things are looking up! xx
Thanks gorgeous!! Feels so nice to be positive again!
xxoo
Really like your new layout! It’s clean and simple! I really admire your strength and courage to battle. We need to fight yet have that positive attitude if we want to win it!!
Thank you! I am definitely enjoying having all my posts organised…they have had it coming for a long time!! Positivity is essential, gets a little lost sometimes, but those times always pass eventually
x
Beautiful flowers and lovely healthy looking plants all!
Thank you! I’m so glad I filmed them, Billy Ray has been attacked by some little aphid type things!! We shall try to fight them off with this natural powdery defender stuff… I hope he’ll be ok! I loves him ๐ x
Love the new blog layout and as always I adore your positive outlook!
Your plants are pretty fabulous too … sadly, I tend to kill most green things …
Thank you! SO nice to have a change
I am terrible at keeping plants alive, that is Reepicheep the 3rd or 4th….all of the predecessors came before the boy with the magic touch… and don’t ever let anyone tell you that talking to plants doesn’t make a difference… they know when they’re loved ;D x
