My CRPS Story

In these videos I am explaining how I ended up with RSD and the way in which it spread through my body.

Recorded 11.12.2008 – The diagnostic era. This is how I ended up with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD)

Recorded 13.12.2008 – In this vid I am talking about what it was like the first year that I had Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD)

Recorded 17.12.2008 – In this vid I have gone on a little tangent from my story to tell you a bit about what Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) actually is and how it can be treated. I also introduce you to a little giraffe named Goober who was present to learn a little more about RSD himself…

Recorded 22.12.2008 – In this vid I am explaining about how a year after developing RSD I was unfortunate enough to need hip surgery…

Recorded 12.01.2009 – In this installment I talk about dislocating my jaw eating cereal and the extra pain and suffering that ensued…

Recorded 8.03.2009 – I finally got around to telling you about RSD spreading to my hands…also Goober sits on a little beanbag. I forget to mention about the blood test from hell that made things worse…that’ll teach me to record these things at night. Head to my blog entry, I’ll hit it old school and write that part…

Recorded 22.03.2009 – I have full body RSD/CRPS. In February this year I went into hospital for a ketamine infusion that lasted 10 days, in Melbourne, Australia. This was a low dose infusion that I was awake for, not a ketamine coma. There were a few complications along the way so I’ve explained these, please remember that this is a personal story & not indicative of how someone else might react to the same treatment.

Recorded 29.04.09 – I have RSD, also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in all my limbs and my jaw. My condition has been on a downward spiral since a ketamine infusion lead to an unusual withdrawal earlier this year. The pain specialist did not want to treat me after this happened, I am just trying to deal with that and figure out what comes next.
